Youth Researchers – Youth Voice Naija Project

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

NGYouthSDGs is recruiting Youth Researchers for the Youth Voice Naija Project, which aims to strengthen young people’s participation and leadership in shaping and monitoring Nigeria’s National Youth Policy 2026–2030.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct one-to-one interviews with young people in local communities.
• Identify, reach and engage diverse youth participants.
• Collect, document and manage research information digitally.
• Capture young people’s experiences, perspectives and priority needs accurately.
• Participate fully in research training, fieldwork and required reporting.
• Follow research ethics, consent, confidentiality and data-quality requirements.

ELIGIBILITY

• Must be between 18 and 35 years old.
• Demonstrated interest in research and youth participation.
• Strong communication and active-listening skills.
• Connection to young people within the applicant’s community.
• Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for digital data collection.
• Available for the required training and fieldwork.

BENEFITS

Selected researchers will receive research training and a fieldwork stipend while contributing to evidence-based national youth-policy development.
