Videographer

JOB OVERVIEW

Open Health Foundation is recruiting a creative Videographer in Abuja to produce high-quality video content communicating the Foundation’s programmes, campaigns, activities and impact. The role covers the full production cycle: planning, filming, editing and delivery for social media, websites, events and donor communications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Video production

• Plan, film and produce content for programmes, community outreach, health campaigns, events, interviews and training.
• Interview staff, beneficiaries, partners, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
• Ensure strong framing, lighting, sound, composition and overall production quality.
• Capture relevant B-roll and supporting footage.

Editing and post-production

• Edit raw footage into professional short-form and long-form videos.
• Add music, sound effects, subtitles, graphics, transitions, logos and other appropriate elements.
• Format content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook and the website.
• Maintain Open Health Foundation’s branding and communication standards.

Content development and storytelling

• Collaborate with Communications and Programmes teams on concepts, scripts, storyboards, shot lists and production plans.
• Develop campaigns, documentaries, testimonials, interviews and impact stories.
• Capture authentic stories and handle sensitive beneficiary content respectfully and confidentially.
• Obtain appropriate consent before recording or publication.

Equipment management

• Operate and maintain cameras, microphones, lighting, tripods, gimbals and related equipment.
• Organise video files and production assets and report technical needs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree, diploma or relevant training in Film Production, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Photography or a related field.
• Two to four years of professional videography, video-production or content-creation experience.
• A portfolio demonstrating filming and editing work.
• Experience covering events, interviews, campaigns and social-media content; nonprofit, health or development experience is an advantage.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut or similar software.
• Strong knowledge of lighting, sound, composition and cinematography.
• Good storytelling, communication, time-management and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel for field assignments.
