Position Description & Requirements
About the Role
The Supply Chain Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to FRAD Foundation's Procurement and Logistics team, covering procurement, receipt, storage, documentation and distribution of goods required for programme activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support purchase requests, requests for quotations, purchase orders and procurement documentation.
- Follow up with suppliers on quotations, orders, delivery schedules and outstanding issues.
- Coordinate the movement and timely delivery of goods to programme and field locations.
- Receive, inspect, count, record, label and properly store delivered items.
- Maintain stock cards, bin cards, inventory registers and procurement, logistics and delivery records.
- Support stock counts, inventory reconciliation, reporting, audits and donor-compliance reviews.
- Report delays, shortages, damages, discrepancies and supply-chain risks promptly.
- Comply with FRAD policies, donor rules, safeguarding requirements and anti-fraud controls.
Qualifications and Experience
- HND or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
- Two to three years of relevant procurement, logistics, warehousing or inventory-management experience.
- NGO or humanitarian experience is desirable.
- Good Microsoft Word and Excel, record-keeping, numerical, communication and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of local markets and suppliers in Borno or North-East Nigeria is an advantage.
