The Institute of Human Virology Nigeria is a nonprofit organisation that delivers health services, research, training and health-system strengthening programmes.

Role Overview

The temporary Study and Data Coordinator will support implementation and data management for the OUTCOME Study, which examines drug-resistant tuberculosis outcomes among children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate study implementation, participant tracking and research documentation.
  • Support accurate, complete and timely research data capture and quality assurance.
  • Maintain study records and collaborate with clinical, laboratory and research teams.
  • Support analysis, reporting and compliance with research ethics requirements.
  • Use appropriate statistical and data-management software for study outputs.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences or a related field.
  • Previous experience implementing or supporting research projects.
  • Demonstrable clinical or public-health research experience, including at least one accepted abstract or journal publication.
  • Relevant research-ethics training.
  • Practical ability with REDCap, Excel and statistical tools such as Stata or R.

Contract

Temporary/ad-hoc assignment based at the International Research Centre of Excellence in Abuja.
