New Incentives – All Babies Are Equal Initiative is an evidence-based organisation working to increase childhood vaccination rates through conditional cash transfers. Its work depends on strong field operations, accurate reporting, accountability and protection of programme integrity.

JOB SUMMARY

The States Partnership Manager will lead strategic interventions to improve vaccine availability and cold-chain efficiency in Northern Nigeria. The manager will supervise four to five officer-level staff, analyse supply-side data, coordinate responses to stockouts, build government and partner relationships and represent the organisation at state, LGA and national levels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review supply-side data daily to identify trends, risks and urgent vaccine-supply issues.
  • Implement established interventions to prevent or resolve vaccine stockouts.
  • Assess the case management and performance of Supply-Side Officers.
  • Improve existing interventions and develop stronger systems for vaccine availability and cold-chain efficiency.
  • Build relationships that support organisational and immunisation goals.
  • Maintain engagement with state, LGA and national partners.
  • Liaise with national champions and other supporters connected to vaccine supply.
  • Represent the organisation at SERICC and LERICC meetings in priority states and LGAs.
  • Provide daily and weekly updates that enable timely action on current or potential stockouts.
  • Coordinate with programme staff on DHIS2 data exploration.
  • Provide technical supervision and guidance to the stakeholder-relations and supply-side unit.
  • Support staff recruitment, training, evaluation, development and internal communication.
  • Prepare weekly workplans and help direct reports manage expenses effectively.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships cost-effectively and track changes in the stakeholder landscape.
  • Align organisational objectives with government priorities and identify practical collaboration opportunities.
  • Lead internal unit meetings, trainings and cross-departmental coordination.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • MSc or PhD in Public Health or a health or social-science discipline is preferred.
  • Ten years of experience working on immunisation programmes.
  • Ten years of experience with a health nonprofit or national health ministry, department or agency.
  • Expert knowledge of Nigeria’s DHIS2 interface.
  • Experience working with national or state health ministries or primary healthcare agencies.
  • Experience working in Northern Nigeria.
  • Residence in, or willingness to relocate to, an ABAE operating state: Bauchi, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Niger, Yobe or Zamfara.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, networking, organisation, time management and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Proficiency in English is required; Hausa is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, databases, internet browsers, smartphones and general ICT.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE
