JOB SUMMARY:
The State Coordinator will lead the day-to-day implementation of Evidence Action’s Immunisation Demand Generation (IDG) Pilot in Nasarawa State. The position will serve as the organisation’s primary field-level presence with State, LGA and health facility stakeholders, ensuring that programme activities are implemented consistently and effectively while identifying field-level risks, challenges and learning for the Programme Manager. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Coordinate the day-to-day implementation of the Immunisation Demand Generation pilot across assigned LGAs, wards and health facilities, working with State and LGA structures to ensure activities follow approved programme guidance, tools and procedures.
2.Support digital reminder activities by coordinating the collection and processing of caregiver information from participating health facilities, supporting facilities and LGAs to identify eligible children, and communicating field-level feedback on reminder content, timing, language and delivery.
3.Support community ambassador and targeted incentive activities by helping identify and engage community ambassadors, disseminating approved vaccination messages, and coordinating agreed transport support or integration of SQ-LNS with immunisation services where applicable.
4.Support capacity building, monitoring, learning and evaluation activities by assisting with orientations and training for State, LGA and facility personnel, supporting baseline and routine data collection, reviewing implementation information and identifying challenges that require corrective action.
5.Maintain effective relationships with State Government, LGA officials, health facility staff and other stakeholders by participating in coordination meetings, providing regular updates on programme progress and risks, and communicating implementation needs to the Programme Manager. Workable REQUIREMENTS:
1.Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Community Development or a related field.
2.3–5 years of experience implementing public health or social and behaviour change programmes at State or LGA level in Nigeria.
3.Experience in immunisation, maternal and child health or nutrition programming is preferred.
4.Experience working directly with communities, health facility staff and/or community health workers.
5.Experience with routine data collection and reporting.
6.Strong field coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities across several LGAs.
7.Strong interpersonal and community engagement skills.
8.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with State and LGA health stakeholders.
9.Clear written and verbal communication and reporting skills.
10.Willingness to travel frequently within Nasarawa State, including to rural LGAs and health facilities.
