ABOUT IITA

JOB SUMMARY
The State Administrative and Logistic Officer will coordinate administration, procurement, inventory, transport and logistics for IITA programme activities in Ogun State. The role supports trainings, community events, Youth Agribusiness Parks, field travel and state-office operations while maintaining complete records and compliance with organisational procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan logistics for trainings, workshops, community sensitisation, field activities and Youth Agribusiness Park events.
- Arrange venues, transport, accommodation, materials and equipment for programme activities.
- Manage office supplies, filing systems, assets, utilities and vendor service contracts.
- Coordinate authorised local procurement and submit higher-value requests to the national Procurement Officer.
- Receive, store, record and distribute programme materials and participant starter kits.
- Maintain accurate inventory, asset and distribution records.
- Supervise State Drivers and coordinate vehicle scheduling, maintenance, fuel control and compliance with safety procedures.
- Manage petty cash or imprest, prepare retirements and submit timely expenditure returns.
- Support onboarding, attendance tracking, staff travel and welfare arrangements.
- Liaise with local government offices, community leaders, facility managers and other stakeholders on administrative and logistical matters.
- Support monitoring visits, donor visits and programme travel within the state.
- Ensure safeguarding, health, safety and security requirements are followed during activities.
- Maintain audit-ready administrative and logistics records and prepare periodic reports.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Public Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Two to four years of relevant administrative and logistics experience.
- Experience with an NGO, research institute or development programme is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and related office applications.
- Good knowledge of Ogun State, its local-government structures and communities.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS AND REMUNERATION
- Contract: Two-year renewable contract.
- Duty station: Ogun State, Nigeria.
- Work arrangement: On-site with regular travel within the state.
