Position Description & Requirements

PROGRAMME BACKGROUND

UNICEF Nigeria’s Health Section supports government child-survival interventions and uses the Humanitarian Cash Operations and Programme Ecosystem Management Information System to improve frontline-worker incentive payments across polio, supplementary immunisation and routine-immunisation activities.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Senior Programme Associate (Data) will manage beneficiary information, payment processing, monitoring and reporting through HOPE MIS, working with the Budget Specialist and Health Section.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage recipient information on the HOPE MIS platform.
  • Consolidate data from different programme sources.
  • Prepare HOPE payment plans.
  • Reconcile failed-payment lists and support corrective action.
  • Coordinate payment-verification data collection.
  • Work with data officers and headquarters teams to generate reports.
  • Provide data insights and recommendations.
  • Support accountability mechanisms and other related assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Completion of secondary education.
  • At least seven years of administrative or clerical experience in data management, programme management or cash-transfer programmes.
  • Understanding of management-information systems and tools such as KoboCollect.
  • Experience with humanitarian cash-transfer beneficiary systems.
  • Excel or database-management-system experience.
  • Experience handling, integrating and visualising complex, large-scale datasets.
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Courses in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration or Social Sciences are desirable.
