Senior Medical Assistant, Maternity Cover

IOM is recruiting a Senior Medical Assistant for maternity cover in Lagos. The role is based at the Migration Health Assessment Centre and involves overseeing the Call Centre and Data Processing/Registration teams.

The successful candidate will support health assessment operations by providing information to migrants, supervising medical assistants, managing applicant scheduling, handling inquiries, supporting data processing and ensuring smooth administrative services within the Migration Health Assessment Centre.

Key responsibilities include organising medical assistant rosters, updating standard operating procedures, supervising and training medical assistants, analysing applicant flow and satisfaction tools, preparing medical forms and labels, ensuring the reception area is organised, responding to telephone and walk-in inquiries, supporting fraud-prevention measures, handling medical documents and deferrals, updating databases, preparing monthly statistics, processing procurement requests and supporting mobile health assessment missions where required.

Required qualifications include a university degree with at least four years of relevant work experience, or a secondary school diploma with at least six years of relevant work experience. Applicants should have experience managing dynamic teams in customer service, IT or administration, knowledge of data management principles, strong computer literacy, MS Office skills, customer care knowledge and good communication skills.
