JOB SUMMARY

CBM Nigeria is recruiting a Senior Driver who will also provide logistics and administrative support. The position is responsible for safe staff transportation, vehicle management, maintenance records, security compliance and support to asset and logistics activities.

Work Hours: 40 hours per week

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive staff and official visitors safely for field visits, project activities and official assignments.

• Ensure vehicles are maintained, clean, properly licensed and equipped with required safety accessories.

• Conduct routine checks of oil, water, tyres, battery, brakes and other vehicle systems.

• Maintain accurate mileage, fuel, passenger, destination and maintenance records.

• Coordinate servicing and repairs and report vehicle incidents immediately.

• Ensure vehicle insurance, first-aid kits, logbooks and other documentation remain valid and available.

• Support airport and hotel transfers for official visitors.

• Follow CBM travel, safety, security and safeguarding procedures.

• Support asset listing, tagging and repair supervision.

• Liaise with vendors when supporting administrative and logistics activities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum Secondary School Leaving Certificate or equivalent.

• Valid driving licence; Classes B, C or E are preferred.

• At least four years of related professional experience.

• At least one year of experience with an international NGO is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of Abuja roads, traffic regulations and alternative routes.

• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and emergency first aid.

• Experience working in insecure environments is useful.

• English-language ability; relevant local languages are an advantage.

• Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills are advantageous.
