JOB SUMMARY

CBM is seeking a Scholarship and Communications Coordinator to support its Inclusive Health Initiative.

The successful candidate will lead communications activities across the initiative’s programmes and partnerships while coordinating the complete management of scholarship programmes.

The role will work closely with universities, training institutions, government stakeholders, implementing partners and CBM teams to strengthen collaboration, communicate programme impact and ensure the effective delivery of scholarship activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Inclusive Health Initiative’s communications strategy across programmes and partnerships.
  • Support programme teams to communicate important milestones, impact stories and programme updates to internal and external audiences.
  • Produce communications materials, including case studies, social media content, website content and internal publications.
  • Support CBM teams in developing strategic thought-leadership materials and external publications.
  • Coordinate the complete scholarship cycle, including application management, selection logistics, onboarding and documentation.
  • Maintain regular communication with scholarship beneficiaries, universities and training institutions.
  • Serve as the main administrative and communications contact between CBM teams, universities, partners and government stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate scholarship records, databases, contracts, academic progress reports and financial documentation.
  • Ensure that communications materials accurately represent the results and impact of Inclusive Health Initiative programmes.
  • Support collaboration and information-sharing among programme partners and stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, International Development or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven years of professional experience in communications.
  • Experience within international development, innovation, health or entrepreneurship programmes is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing communications outputs and publications.
  • Strong editorial and writing experience, including the production of high-quality external publications.
  • Experience managing communications for programmes involving multiple partners and stakeholders.
  • Experience with scholarship, training or education programmes is an added advantage.
  • Experience using digital communications platforms, social media and content-production tools.
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively within multicultural environments.

  • Strong communications strategy and programme-communications skills.
  • Excellent writing, editing and content-production abilities.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to manage scholarship applications, documentation and beneficiary records.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to coordinate activities involving universities, government agencies, partners and programme teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping ability.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Commitment to disability inclusion and safeguarding principles.
  • Identification with the Christian values and mandate of CBM.
