Position Description & Requirements

Action Against Hunger is recruiting a RESILAC II Programme Manager to manage integrated FSL, WASH, health, MHPSS and education interventions in Borno State.

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Programme Manager will oversee the implementation of RESILAC II project activities and ensure that multisector interventions are integrated and delivered according to project objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the implementation of FSL, WASH, health, MHPSS and education activities.
  • Providing strategic and technical direction to project teams.
  • Preparing work plans, procurement plans and implementation schedules.
  • Ensuring that resilience-building approaches are integrated across all sectors.
  • Coordinating and supervising project officers and field teams.
  • Working with finance, logistics, MEAL and liaison departments.
  • Monitoring project indicators, outputs, results and donor commitments.
  • Preparing monthly technical reports, PMTs, 5Ws and donor reports.
  • Reviewing partner reports and providing technical feedback.
  • Managing programme forecasts, budgets and BFUs.
  • Supporting recruitment and capacity building of project personnel.
  • Conducting staff-performance reviews and coaching.
  • Coordinating civil-society partners, local authorities and community stakeholders.
  • Supporting proposal development and programme strategy.
  • Ensuring safeguarding, gender equality and ethical programme implementation.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Economics, Development Studies, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Agronomy, Animal Husbandry or a related field; or another degree with a master’s in Food Security and Livelihoods.
  • At least five years of multisector project-management experience.
  • Experience in humanitarian response, recovery, resilience or development.
  • Strong team, budget, reporting and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to travel to remote areas.
  • Hausa fluency is preferred.
