ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND
Kimpact Development Initiative is a Nigerian civil-society organization working to strengthen democratic governance, electoral accountability and civic participation through research, evidence, advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
ROLE PURPOSE
The Research Assistant / Data Analyst will support research, data management and evidence-generation activities connected to governance, democracy, civic engagement and public policy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct desk research and contribute to policy and governance analysis.
- Support quantitative and qualitative data collection.
- Organize, clean and analyse programme and research datasets.
- Prepare tables, summaries, visualisations and analytical outputs.
- Contribute to research reports, policy briefs, presentations and programme documentation.
- Support programme teams with evidence required for planning, implementation and reporting.
- Maintain complete, accurate and accessible research records.
- Assist with other research and data tasks assigned by the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree or Higher National Diploma in a relevant discipline.
- Strong practical ability with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Knowledge of SPSS, Stata or Power BI is an advantage.
- Understanding of Nigerian democratic institutions, governance or public policy is desirable.
