JOB SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse will provide evidence-based direct nursing care, support clinical teams and maintain high standards of patient safety, comfort and documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess patients and identify nursing-care needs.
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualised nursing-care plans.
• Monitor patients’ condition and identify significant clinical changes.
• Administer prescribed treatments and medications within professional scope.
• Record nursing interventions and patient responses accurately.
• Support physicians and other clinicians during consultations and procedures.
• Provide patients and families with appropriate health education.
• Promote infection prevention and patient safety.
• Support continuity of care and appropriate discharge processes.
• Ensure patients receive appropriate nutrition and supportive care.
• Provide paediatric care and support for infectious-disease patients where applicable.
• Perform approved clerical and clinical-support duties.
• Participate in quality-improvement activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional nursing standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Nursing from a recognised institution.
• Current licence to practise nursing in Nigeria.
• Current direct patient-care experience.
• Relevant postgraduate nursing experience in an accredited hospital environment.
• Recent direct patient-care experience is required.
• Computer literacy.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Compassionate and supportive bedside manner.
• Strong teamwork, problem-solving and time-management ability.
