JOB DESCRIPTION SNIPPET:

MSI Nigeria Reproductive Choices is seeking a Regional Security Advisor to support security management operations across the North West 3 region, providing technical advice, risk assessments, security procedures, incident management and staff safety support.

MSI Nigeria Reproductive Choices is a social enterprise providing sexual and reproductive healthcare services and products across Nigeria.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Regional Security Advisor will work with the regional operations team to support the implementation, operation and maintenance of security management systems and provide practical security advice to protect personnel, offices, vehicles, assets and field operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Provide regular updates on regional threat levels, security risks and emerging security developments to relevant management and field teams.
2.Conduct security and risk assessments and ensure appropriate security procedures and controls are implemented.
3.Develop and support contingency plans and provide security reports and recommendations to management.
4.Review and update security information, procedures and policies to reflect changing operational and security conditions.
5.Support the security of MSI offices, premises, vehicles, assets and field operations across the assigned region.
6.Liaise with the Security and Risk Advisor, regional teams and relevant stakeholders on security matters.
7.Monitor field team activities and provide timely security advice and support.
8.Provide real-time security assistance during incidents and emergencies and support appropriate incident management.
9.Support security training and awareness activities for staff.

REQUIREMENTS:

1.Bachelor's degree or relevant professional certification.
2.Practical experience in security assessment, planning and implementation, preferably within an NGO or relevant field environment.
3.Experience in the Nigerian military, police or another security service.
4.Experience in security management and staff training.
5.Experience managing serious security incidents in complex or security-challenged environments.
6.Strong risk assessment and analytical skills.
7.Ability to provide practical security recommendations in challenging environments.
8.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
