JOB SUMMARY

The Public Health Project Manager will work with the project-management team and senior management to plan, organise and oversee projects and ensure scope, timelines and budgets remain under control.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and oversee public-health projects from implementation through completion.
• Develop and implement project-quality-assurance procedures.
• Delegate responsibilities to Public Health staff and other project team members.
• Schedule and conduct calls and meetings with stakeholders, clients and affiliates.
• Develop project schedules and monitor deadlines.
• Establish procedures to ensure project activities meet timeline and budget requirements.
• Maintain complete project documentation throughout implementation.
• Conduct regular project reviews.
• Carry out periodic progress checks with project personnel.
• Track whether project deliverables remain on schedule.
• Monitor implementation against approved budgets.
• Identify delays, bottlenecks and emerging project risks.
• Follow up corrective actions with responsible team members.
• Coordinate project-organisation and administrative tasks.
• Support monitoring and evaluation of project activities.
• Prepare management updates and project reports.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Degree in Project Management Technology, Public Health or a related discipline.
• Relevant project-management work experience.
• Monitoring and evaluation skills.
• Strong time-management ability.
• Budget-management knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good stakeholder communication and coordination ability.
• Strong project documentation and reporting skills.

WORK ARRANGEMENT

Fully onsite in Abuja.
