JOB SUMMARY

The Public Health Engagement Intern will support physical and digital stakeholder engagement, public-health research and implementation of project communication activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement communication strategies for specific project stakeholders.
• Identify relevant stakeholders and initiate appropriate engagement.
• Analyse stakeholder groups and determine appropriate communication frequency.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships through visits, calls, emails and digital communication.
• Support web and digital-engagement activities.
• Support search-engine optimisation and display-advertising campaigns where applicable.
• Assist with digital campaigns and social-media content.
• Research trends in public health and digital marketing.
• Recommend opportunities for improved digital engagement and growth.
• Support development of communication materials.
• Prepare presentations for project and stakeholder activities.
• Assist with public-health research.
• Maintain documentation of stakeholder engagement.
• Support implementation of engagement-related project activities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in engagement or engagement-related work.
• Excellent communication, advocacy and interpersonal skills.
• Experience engaging stakeholders in a technology or health environment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of effective digital and non-digital communication channels.
• Understanding of good stakeholder-engagement practice.
• Strong organisation and ability to work as part of a project team.

WORK ARRANGEMENT

Internship; fully onsite in Abuja.
