Public Health Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

The Public Health Analyst will support public-health research, digital-health projects, data analysis, proposal development and production of health communication materials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct research relating to public health and digital-health tools.
• Examine use of digital-health tools by ministries, departments and agencies.
• Conduct literature reviews, interviews and other forms of data collection.
• Support software conceptualisation, design and development for public-health use.
• Document best practices and lessons learned from field activities.
• Prepare concept notes and project proposals.
• Support preparation of grant applications.
• Prepare implementation, evaluation and research reports.
• Support data collection, collation, aggregation and integration.
• Conduct data analysis.
• Research and write health-related articles and communication materials.
• Proofread, analyse and critique technical reports and articles.
• Develop reports, posters, bulletins, newsletters and other communication products.
• Support management of technology-for-public-health projects.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Master’s degree in Public Health.
• Approximately three to five years’ experience working with stakeholders and clients, including sensitive issues.
• Candidate should reside in Abuja for the current onsite role.
• Basic understanding of health systems.
• Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and organisation.
• Strong public speaking and communication ability.
• Project-management and project-coordination skills.
• Statistical and data-analysis skills.

Fully onsite.
