Protection Assistant – C-HID Protection

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Protection Assistant will support community-level protection activities and help C-HID identify, document and respond appropriately to protection concerns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support protection activities, community outreach and field monitoring.
• Conduct sensitisation on protection, safeguarding, PSEA, inclusion and available services.
• Identify protection concerns and support safe, confidential referrals.
• Document protection observations and contribute to activity and monitoring reports.
• Promote the participation and inclusion of vulnerable and at-risk groups.
• Support community complaints and feedback mechanisms while maintaining confidentiality.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Psychology, Sociology, Public Health or a related discipline.
• Protection, safeguarding, PSEA or humanitarian experience is desirable.
• Strong communication, documentation and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to humanitarian principles, inclusion and respect for affected communities.
• Ability to work in difficult field environments; local knowledge is an advantage.
