OVERVIEW
CARE Nigeria is recruiting a Project Manager to provide technical and strategic leadership for the RESILAC 2 project in Borno State, with expansion into Yobe State. RESILAC promotes resilience through social and inclusive economic recovery across the Lake Chad region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide managerial oversight and technical guidance to the RESILAC 2 project team.
- Lead climate-change, livelihood, resilience, vocational-skills, natural-resource-management, social-cohesion and economic-empowerment interventions.
- Identify technical-assistance needs and strengthen the capacity of project staff.
- Support detailed implementation plans and ensure programme approaches meet CARE quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Country Consortium Lead, sector leads and consortium partners.
- Represent the project in relevant coordination forums and engage government, private-sector and civil-society stakeholders.
- Monitor project resources, donor compliance, technical quality, workplans and implementation progress.
- Facilitate regular project review meetings with government, communities and staff.
- Prepare weekly updates and monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual and end-of-project reports.
- Supervise direct reports and ensure timely performance reviews.
- Document learning, support operational research and contribute to baseline, endline, territorial and market assessments.
- Contribute to CARE Nigeria's resource-mobilisation activities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Advanced university degree in Climate Change, Agribusiness, Development or a related Social Science.
- At least eight years of relevant work experience with an international NGO.
- Minimum of four years of management experience.
- Experience managing partner organisations.
- Experience in multisectoral resilience-building programmes is desirable.
- Knowledge of Hausa and Kanuri is an advantage.
