Position Description & Requirements
International IDEA is recruiting a Project Manager to lead the Criminal Justice Reform component of the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Programme Phase II (RoLAC II) in Nigeria.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead component planning, implementation, budgeting, workplans and results management.
- Supervise the component team and coordinate technical delivery.
- Maintain strong relationships with government institutions, the European Union, implementing partners and other stakeholders.
- Oversee monitoring, evaluation, reporting, risk management and compliance.
- Promote national ownership, sustainability and coordination across programme activities.
- Represent International IDEA and the programme in relevant technical and policy forums.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Law, Criminal Justice, International Development, Political Science, Social Sciences or a related field.
- At least ten years of relevant professional experience, including five years in management.
- Strong experience in democracy, governance, rule of law or justice programming in Africa or another developing-country context.
- Experience with European Union-funded programmes is an advantage.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in Nigeria.
Location: Abuja, onsite.
Contract: Local fixed-term appointment through 31 December 2027.
