ABOUT IGH / STRIDE
The Institute of Genomics and Global Health at Redeemer’s University leads STRIDE — Scientific Training and Research in Infectious Disease Genomics and Entrepreneurship — a pan-African programme strengthening genomics, bioinformatics and public-health capacity.
JOB SUMMARY
The Project & Logistics Coordinator will manage administrative and logistical arrangements supporting STRIDE programme implementation, training activities, participant movement and institutional coordination.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate programme logistics and administrative processes.
- Manage arrangements for training sessions, workshops and programme events.
- Coordinate participant travel, accommodation and local transportation.
- Support onboarding of students, fellows, trainers and programme participants.
- Maintain activity schedules, calendars and logistics trackers.
- Coordinate meeting venues, equipment and training materials.
- Liaise with programme teams, institutional partners and service providers.
- Support procurement and financial teams with activity-related logistics requirements.
- Maintain documentation of logistics transactions and programme activities.
- Monitor agreed administrative deadlines and follow up pending actions.
- Coordinate travel itineraries and related documentation.
- Support communication with programme participants before and during activities.
- Prepare routine administrative and logistics reports.
- Identify logistical risks and resolve operational challenges promptly.
- Provide other programme-coordination support required by management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Relevant degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Development Studies or related discipline.
- Experience coordinating programmes, research activities, training or development projects.
- Strong logistics and administrative-management skills.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- Strong Microsoft Office/Google Workspace skills.
- Ability to manage several activities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience in research, higher education, global health or donor-funded programmes is advantageous.
