ABOUT CENSCOPE
CENSCOPE is a national non-profit organisation headquartered in Maiduguri and working across humanitarian and development sectors. The advertised role supports its Gender-Responsive Education Budgeting project in Borno State.
POSITION DETAILS
- Employment type: Full-time, onsite

ROLE PURPOSE
Lead day-to-day project implementation by coordinating activities, field operations and reporting across the seven target LGAs and serving as the operational anchor under the Project Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead delivery of the project workplan and coordinate activities across the seven target LGAs.
- Coordinate field operations, schedules and logistics with Project Officers and field teams.
- Consolidate activity, monitoring and donor-reporting inputs and prepare progress reports.
- Liaise with government, community and coalition stakeholders alongside the Project Manager and Advocacy Officer.
- Track deliverables against the logframe and support budget-aligned activity planning.
- Uphold safeguarding, data-protection and donor-compliance standards across all activities.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Development, Education, Project Management, Social Sciences or a related field; a master’s degree is an advantage.
- At least four years of experience coordinating donor-funded projects, ideally in conflict-affected Northeast Nigeria.
- Proven activity-coordination, field-management and report-writing skills.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills and fluency in English; Hausa and/or Kanuri is strongly preferred.
DESIRABLE
- Experience in girls’ education, gender or policy/budget-advocacy programming.
- Familiarity with logframes and MEAL processes.
