Position Description & Requirements
GRENCHI is recruiting a Project Coordinator to oversee the design, implementation, monitoring and reporting of its environmental and community-development projects, including agroforestry, restoration, environmental education and community climate-action programmes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead project planning, scheduling, implementation and close-out.
- Coordinate field staff, volunteers, community facilitators and project partners.
- Develop and use monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks to track results and document lessons.
- Monitor project budgets and ensure compliant use of resources.
- Prepare donor narrative and technical reports.
- Manage relationships with communities, government agencies, schools and partner organisations.
- Identify project risks and ensure compliance with organisational and donor requirements.
- Support the training and mentoring of junior staff, interns and volunteers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- BSc or MSc in Forestry, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Development Studies, Project Management or a related field.
- Project-management certification is an advantage.
- Five to seven years of progressive project-management, community-development or environmental-programming experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing donor-funded projects, budgets, workplans, reporting and field teams.
- Strong knowledge of logframes, Theory of Change and MEL approaches.
