JOB SUMMARY:
The Project Assistant will provide administrative and operational support for the implementation of the Displacement Tracking Matrix project in Nigeria.
Under the supervision of the DTM Programme Officer and in coordination with the Senior Programme Associate, the successful candidate will assist with project implementation, information management, reporting, budget tracking and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Assist with the implementation, coordination and monitoring of project activities.
2.Retrieve, compile, summarise and present information and data relevant to project implementation.
3.Monitor budget-related information, verify the availability of funds and follow up on required approvals.
4.Support administrative coordination by liaising with internal departments, external partners and relevant authorities.
5.Draft project status reports, identify implementation shortfalls and bring issues requiring attention to the supervisor.
6.Prepare correspondence, reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentations and related documentation.
7.Organise meetings, workshops and training sessions in support of programme activities.
8.Respond to general information requests and maintain organised project files and records.
9.Support project activities involving migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, trafficking survivors and other vulnerable groups.
10.Perform other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:
1.A bachelor's degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field; or a relevant diploma with four years of professional experience, as specified in the vacancy notice.
2.At least four years of relevant experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking or other vulnerable groups.
3.At least four years of experience in humanitarian emergency settings.
4.Experience with statistical tools, reporting and liaison with government authorities.
5.Knowledge of migration-related issues and humanitarian programming.
6.Familiarity with UN or bilateral donor programmes and financial rules is an advantage.
7.Strong organisational, logistics, communication and reporting skills.
8.High computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
9.Ability to maintain accurate records, respect confidentiality and work with people from diverse backgrounds.
10.Knowledge of languages spoken in North-West, North-Central or North-East Nigeria is desirable.

1.Location: Gusau LGA, Zamfara State.
2.Number of vacancies: Two.
3.Duration: Six months.
4.Start date: 26 October 2026.
