JOB SUMMARY

The Programme Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Officer will strengthen MERL support for adolescent-health and girl-capital programming in Nasarawa State. The role responds to increasing donor demand for strong data mining, synthesis, management, reporting and use.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support monitoring, evaluation, research and learning across relevant donor-funded programming.
• Strengthen programme data mining, synthesis, management, reporting and use.
• Provide capacity support to M&E and data teams.
• Use management-information systems and electronic data-collection platforms.
• Contribute to reliable programme evidence and performance information.
• Support adolescent sexual and reproductive health data needs and use.
• Help teams translate data into programme learning and decision-making.
• Communicate findings clearly to colleagues and stakeholders in multicultural settings.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Graduate degree in Public Health, Research, Development, Health Administration, Social Sciences or a related field.
• At least four years’ programme experience.
• Experience providing capacity support to M&E or data teams, preferably within sexual and reproductive health programming.
• Practical experience with DHIS2, electronic data collection or another mHealth system.
• Good understanding of adolescent sexual and reproductive health and demographic and health survey data needs.
• Strong written and spoken English and interpersonal communication skills.
