Programme Manager – Nigeria

INTERSOS is recruiting a Programme Manager to support its humanitarian operations in Nigeria. The position is based in Maiduguri and is offered on an initial six-month contract, renewable subject to operational requirements and performance.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of assigned humanitarian projects.
• Ensure programme activities meet approved objectives, quality standards, workplans, budgets and donor requirements.
• Supervise and support programme teams while promoting effective collaboration with operations and technical departments.
• Monitor implementation risks, results, expenditure and programme quality, and initiate corrective action when required.
• Represent the programme in relevant coordination meetings and maintain constructive relationships with partners and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Relevant university qualification in international development, humanitarian studies, social sciences or a related discipline.
• Approximately 3–4 years of relevant programme-management experience in humanitarian settings.
• Strong project-cycle management, leadership, budgeting, reporting and coordination skills.
