OVERVIEW
Tulsi Chanrai Foundation is recruiting a Program Manager – WASH to lead the technical, administrative and financial management of Mission for Water projects in Kebbi State and other locations assigned by the organisation.
POSITION DETAILS
Reporting to: WASH Team Leader
Duty station: Kebbi State, Nigeria

Supervises: Technical Officer, Community Mobilisation Officers and other WASH field teams
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess WASH conditions and community needs in assigned locations.
- Build working relationships with communities, local governments, state governments and other stakeholders.
- Develop strategies and projects based on identified WASH priorities and available resources.
- Recruit, train and supervise project personnel in water-facility maintenance, community mobilisation, sanitation, hygiene and disinfection.
- Design and support water systems, including groundwater or surface-water sources, abstraction, storage, treatment, distribution and rehabilitation.
- Select context-appropriate sanitation systems covering excreta disposal, vector control, solid-waste management and drainage.
- Mainstream gender, protection and sustainability across WASH interventions.
- Conduct regular field visits and provide supportive supervision to project teams.
- Support procurement and supply-chain activities and maintain complete stock documentation.
- Prepare financial and performance reports and contribute to technical and financial donor reports.
- Represent the organisation at relevant meetings, conferences and workshops.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Social Sciences, Engineering, Community Development or another relevant discipline.
- Relevant experience delivering WASH projects and programmes at community, state and national levels.
- Experience providing education, awareness and training to individuals and groups.
- Knowledge of community-based water and sanitation systems.
- Experience mentoring staff and community members.
- Strong leadership, communication, budgeting, conflict-resolution and adaptive project-management skills.
- Proficiency in common office software; project-management certification is an advantage.
