The Strengthening Peace and Resilience in Nigeria programme supports locally led efforts to reduce violence, improve resilience, and strengthen security, justice and natural-resource management.
JOB SUMMARY
The Operations Officer will administer the daily operations of the SPRiNG programme in Abuja. The role covers procurement, vendor management, logistics, travel, events, operational records, compliance, audit support and staff onboarding.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage end-to-end procurement planning, evaluation and negotiation in line with Tetra Tech requirements.
- Source vendors, conduct market assessments, issue requests for quotations and analyse bids.
- Prepare purchase orders and track procurement timelines, delivery and receipt of goods and services.
- Maintain the vendor database and support supplier prequalification, due diligence and performance monitoring.
- Process vendor invoices and maintain complete, auditable procurement records.
- Prepare procurement status reports and contract-management trackers.
- Arrange vehicles, domestic flights, hotels and other travel logistics for staff and programme participants.
- Maintain operations trackers, office store records and documentation of stocks and supplies.
- Plan and coordinate workshops, trainings and other programme events.
- Arrange venues, participant logistics, transport, accommodation, catering, equipment, materials and registration support.
- Maintain the annual-leave tracker and support onboarding of national and expatriate staff.
- Brief new personnel on relevant operations policies and procedures.
- Support audits, reporting and compliance with organisational and donor requirements.
- Identify operational risks and escalate issues appropriately.
- Undertake other operations duties assigned by programme management.
- Observe security advice, organisational policies and safeguarding requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrable experience in an operations role involving programme procurement and logistics.
- Experience managing the full procurement cycle.
- Experience managing the complete event cycle for workshops, trainings and conferences.
- Sound understanding of value for money, competition, segregation of duties and audit requirements.
- Strong record keeping and documentation skills.
- Experience with SharePoint or another document-management platform.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Ability to prioritise work and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to identify and escalate operational risks.
- Experience on UK or other international donor-funded programmes is desirable.
- Applicants must already have the legal right to work in Nigeria; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Some travel and out-of-hours work may be required.
