Position Description & Requirements

GAIN is recruiting an Operations and Administrative Officer to support the smooth running of its Nigeria country office and strengthen communication and coordination across programme and operational teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the administrative and payment focal point for partners, service providers and government officials.
  • Facilitate approvals for programme-related travel, accommodation, meetings and event payments.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, visas, hotels and schedules.
  • Support operational delivery for programme activities.
  • Work with the procurement team to complete procurements on time.
  • Support hotel and venue assessments in collaboration with the security function.
  • Maintain organised electronic procurement, operations and payment records.
  • Identify administrative gaps and provide relevant staff orientation.
  • Coordinate office meetings and prepare minutes.
  • Liaise with service providers and state finance and administrative personnel.
  • Safeguard office assets and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure compliance with GAIN’s office-management, travel and quality standards.

Candidate profile:

Applicants should have proven programme-operations and office-administration experience, strong organisational and stakeholder-management ability, and practical knowledge of payments, purchase orders and service-provider management. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency is required. NGO or donor-funded experience is an advantage.

Contract and remuneration:

  • One-year fixed-term contract.
  • Abuja-based.
  • Starting gross annual salary of approximately ₦9,856,248–₦11,255,100, depending on experience.
  • Applicants must already have the right to live and work in Nigeria.
