Nigeria Tech Specialist (Fixed-term)

One Acre Fund is recruiting a Nigeria Tech Specialist to own the end-to-end technical delivery of field-facing and internal digital solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build and maintain mobile, web, backend and data solutions.
• Develop reliable workflows that support online and offline operations.
• Design secure and scalable data models, APIs and integration patterns.
• Strengthen data synchronisation, validation and consistency across systems.
• Apply modern engineering and approved AI-assisted tools to improve delivery speed and quality.
• Implement testing, deployment, monitoring, logging, backup and recovery processes.
• Apply strong security, access-control and data-protection practices.
• Collaborate with product, design and operations teams during testing, pilots and production launches.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and support knowledge transfer.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent professional experience.
• At least six years of professional software-engineering experience, including three years delivering production full-stack applications.
• Advanced experience across mobile, web, backend, databases and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with relevant Android-capable frameworks, modern web frameworks and production backend technologies.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, containers, automated testing, monitoring and infrastructure automation.

CONTRACT DETAILS

• Two-year fixed-term contract.
• Only Nigerian citizens or permanent residents are eligible.
• Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and may close once a suitable candidate is hired.
