ORGANIZATION AND PROGRAMME BACKGROUND
One Acre Fund provides agricultural supplies, tree seedlings, credit, agronomic training and related services to smallholder farmers. Its Nigeria programme was established in 2018 and is headquartered in Minna, Niger State. The programme currently serves more than 100,000 farmers through credit, retail and agroforestry initiatives.
The position forms part of One Acre Fund’s Young Professionals Programme, which provides African graduates with paid internships, practical assignments, training and professional-development opportunities.
ROLE PURPOSE
The Recruitment Intern will support the administrative and operational processes that keep recruitment activities running effectively.
The intern will help deliver a professional candidate experience by supporting application screening, interview scheduling, applicant tracking, recruitment data management and interview logistics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform recurring administrative tasks supporting recruitment operations.
- Maintain accurate recruitment trackers, documentation and records.
- Support CV longlisting and candidate-screening processes.
- Schedule interviews and communicate professionally with candidates.
- Keep candidate statuses updated in the Applicant Tracking System.
- Maintain the recruitment candidate database.
- Extract basic recruitment information for weekly reporting.
- Help identify bottlenecks affecting recruitment processes.
- Support the introduction of new recruitment tools and process improvements.
- Coordinate interview-panel logistics.
- Ensure interviewers receive the required materials.
- Ensure candidates are properly briefed before interviews.
- Contribute to ad hoc recruitment projects.
- Provide additional operational support to the recruitment team when assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Six months to one year of recruitment or human-resources experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in One Acre Fund’s work with smallholder farmers.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace is desirable.
- Familiarity with an Applicant Tracking System such as Greenhouse is an advantage.
