Position Description & Requirements

Position Overview

The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Specialist will support the development and implementation of systems used to measure programme performance, client outcomes and organizational impact.

Key Responsibilities

Develop monitoring, evaluation and learning plans.

Design indicators, questionnaires and data-collection tools.

Coordinate surveys, assessments and evaluation activities.

Train and support field data-collection personnel.

Monitor data quality and implement verification procedures.

Analyse quantitative and qualitative data.

Produce reports, dashboards and presentations.

Communicate findings to programme and leadership teams.

Support evidence-based programme decisions.

Document lessons learned and recommend programme improvements.

Ensure compliance with research ethics and data-protection requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Statistics, Economics, Agriculture, Development Studies, Social Sciences or a related field.

Substantial experience in monitoring, evaluation, research or data analysis.

Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.

Experience using Excel and relevant statistical or data-visualization software.

Strong analytical and report-writing skills.

Experience working with agricultural or rural-development programmes is an advantage.

Willingness to travel to programme locations.
