JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Specialist will strengthen One Acre Fund Nigeria’s people systems, employee relations, performance management, talent management and HR operations.
The successful candidate will work with managers and programme leaders to support workforce stability, compliance, staff performance and organisational effectiveness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Strategy and Policy Implementation
- Support the design and implementation of people strategies.
- Translate organisational priorities into practical HR frameworks, tools and procedures.
- Identify performance, retention, employee-relations and compliance risks.
- Advise leadership on appropriate actions to address people-related risks.
- Promote consistent and compliant application of HR policies.
Learning and Development
- Support the development of learning and development activities.
- Maintain the annual training tracker and database.
- Provide reports to managers on completed training and identified learning needs.
- Coordinate training sessions and learning resources.
- Support organisational change and staff-development initiatives.
Performance Management
- Lead the operational implementation of the annual performance-review cycle.
- Ensure that performance processes are consistent, fair and properly documented.
- Work with managers to address staff-performance gaps.
- Support the development and monitoring of performance-improvement plans.
- Maintain accurate performance-management information.
Employee Relations
- Advise managers on employee-relations matters, HR policies and labour regulations.
- Support investigations and the documentation of employee-relations cases.
- Promote fair and consistent treatment of employees.
- Support the resolution of workplace concerns and disputes.
Talent Management and HR Operations
- Support probation management, staff confirmation, promotions and transfers.
- Work with recruitment teams and hiring managers on workforce planning.
- Maintain accurate employee lifecycle information.
- Manage HR trackers, dashboards and reports.
- Prepare reports on headcount, attrition, performance and compliance.
- Support contract administration and HR-system updates.
- Maintain confidential employee records and HR documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- More than seven years of professional human-resources experience.
- Strong experience working as an HR business partner.
- Practical knowledge of performance management, employee relations, HR operations and talent management.
- Good understanding of Nigerian labour legislation and HR compliance.
- Experience managing HR systems, databases, trackers and employee records.
- Experience producing workforce reports and people-related insights.
- Experience developing or facilitating staff training.
- Experience supporting managers and senior leaders on HR matters.
- Project-management and team-supervision experience is desirable.
