Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organisation (WEWE) is recruiting for eight positions under its development project activities in Abuja and Kaduna. Opportunities are available across project management, finance, procurement, monitoring and evaluation, agricultural value chains, gender and logistics.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organisation (WEWE) is a women-led Nigerian NGO implementing programmes that support vulnerable communities and development initiatives.
JOB SUMMARY:
WEWE is seeking qualified candidates for the following eight positions:

06 | Field Extension Expert – With Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSMES)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
01 | Project Coordinator: Provide strategic and technical leadership for project components, oversee implementation, coordinate partners and stakeholders, supervise project staff, manage work plans and budgets, and lead project reporting and donor coordination.
02 | Finance and Administrative Manager: Manage project finances, budgets, accounting records, financial reporting, internal controls, cash flow, audit support and compliance with donor and organisational requirements.
03 | Procurement and Operations Officer: Lead procurement planning and implementation, manage vendor processes and contracts, oversee logistics and assets, coordinate project operations, support field activities and maintain procurement documentation and reports.
04 | Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist: Develop and implement the M&E framework, manage data collection and validation, track performance, support baseline/midline/endline studies and prepare M&E reports and data visualisations.
05 | Market Systems and Value Chain Specialist/Consultant: Strengthen tomato value-chain systems, support MSME development, establish market linkages and partnerships, provide technical advisory services, conduct value-chain assessments and contribute to learning and knowledge products.
06 | Field Extension Expert – MSMES: Provide agricultural advisory support to smallholder farmers and MSMEs, conduct field visits, promote improved tomato production and post-harvest practices, support demonstrations and trainings, document field progress and facilitate farmer-market linkages.
07 | Gender Expert: Integrate gender equality into project activities, develop and implement gender actions, conduct gender analysis, strengthen women’s participation, support gender-responsive monitoring and provide technical capacity building on gender inclusion.
08 | Project Driver: Transport staff, consultants, visitors and materials safely, maintain project vehicles and records, conduct vehicle checks, support field movements and provide logistical assistance as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
01 | Project Coordinator: Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Rural Development Studies or Project Management, with at least 7 years of relevant progressive experience.
02 | Finance and Administrative Manager: Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, with at least 4 years’ experience managing finances in donor-funded development projects. Professional certification is an advantage.
03 | Procurement and Operations Officer: Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations Management or related field, with substantial progressive procurement/operations experience and knowledge of donor procurement procedures.
04 | Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist: Degree in Statistics, Economics, Agricultural Economics, Development Studies or related field, with at least 5 years’ M&E experience in donor-funded agricultural or development projects.
05 | Market Systems and Value Chain Specialist/Consultant: Master’s degree or higher in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Value Chain Development or Rural Development, with at least 12 years of relevant experience.
06 | Field Extension Expert – MSMES: Degree or diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy or related field, with at least 3 years’ field extension or agricultural advisory experience.
07 | Gender Expert: Advanced degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Sociology, Agricultural Economics or related field, with at least 7 years’ relevant gender mainstreaming experience.
08 | Project Driver: Minimum SSCE/WAEC/NECO or equivalent, valid Nigerian driver’s licence, clean driving record and at least 3 years’ professional driving experience.
