Catholic Relief Services is inviting applications from qualified candidates for several programme, technical and operational positions supporting its humanitarian and resilience activities in Benue State.
Available Positions
Senior Project Officer – Nutrition
The Senior Project Officer will support the planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of nutrition activities. The successful candidate will provide technical guidance, support partner and community capacity building, monitor programme performance and ensure that nutrition interventions meet CRS and donor standards.
Senior Project Officer – Protection
The Senior Project Officer will coordinate protection activities for vulnerable individuals and communities. Responsibilities may include protection assessments, community engagement, referrals, safeguarding, partner support, monitoring and reporting.
Security Assistant
The Security Assistant will support the implementation of security procedures, staff-movement tracking, security assessments, incident reporting and communication with staff and relevant local stakeholders.
The position will assist the security team in monitoring the operating environment and ensuring that employees receive timely safety and security information.
Program Manager I – Cash and Voucher
The Program Manager will oversee cash and voucher assistance activities, including programme planning, beneficiary targeting, distribution processes, vendor or financial-service-provider coordination, monitoring, accountability and reporting.
The successful candidate will ensure that cash-assistance activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with donor and CRS requirements.
Program Manager I – MEAL
The Program Manager will lead monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning activities for the project.
Responsibilities include developing MEAL systems, supervising data collection, analysing programme results, improving data quality, supporting evaluations and ensuring that programme teams use evidence to improve implementation.
Program Manager I – Disaster Risk Reduction
The Program Manager will oversee disaster-risk-reduction and community-resilience activities.
The successful candidate will support risk assessments, community preparedness, early-warning activities, capacity building, stakeholder coordination and the integration of disaster-risk reduction across project interventions.
Program Manager I – SWASH
The SWASH Manager will lead the planning, coordination and monitoring of water, sanitation and hygiene interventions.
Responsibilities may include technical oversight, programme-quality assurance, partner coordination, infrastructure monitoring, hygiene-promotion activities, staff supervision and donor reporting.
Feedback Officer
The Feedback Officer will support community accountability systems across project locations.
The officer will receive, record, refer and follow up on feedback and complaints from programme participants. The successful candidate will also support community sensitisation, data analysis, reporting and the protection of confidential information.
Inventory Assistant
The Inventory Assistant will support the receipt, recording, storage, tracking and distribution of programme and operational items.
Responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting physical stock counts, updating inventory systems, preparing documentation and supporting compliance with CRS procedures.
Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant will support the day-to-day delivery of administrative services in the Benue office.
Responsibilities may include office coordination, filing, correspondence, meeting arrangements, travel support, supplies management, asset and inventory updates and general administrative assistance.
General Requirements
Requirements differ according to each position. Applicants may be required to possess:
- A bachelor’s degree, HND or other relevant qualification in the technical area of the position.
- Relevant professional experience in an NGO, humanitarian or development organisation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good reporting, documentation and computer skills.
- Ability to work effectively with communities, government institutions and partner organisations.
- Knowledge of humanitarian principles, accountability and safeguarding.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to travel to project locations within Benue State.
