Notify Health is a health-focused organisation working to strengthen health systems and improve access to quality healthcare through data-driven approaches, technology and programme implementation. The organisation supports health programmes including immunisation and uses data and learning to improve programme performance and outcomes.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer will support the development and implementation of monitoring, evaluation and learning systems for Notify Health programmes in Nigeria. The role will focus on strengthening data collection and quality processes, analysing programme data, supporting reporting and using evidence to improve programme implementation and decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Support the design, implementation and continuous improvement of monitoring, evaluation and learning systems for programme activities, ensuring that appropriate indicators, tools and processes are in place.
2.Coordinate routine programme monitoring and data collection activities, working with implementation teams to ensure that required information is collected accurately and on time.
3.Conduct data quality checks and reviews to identify inconsistencies, gaps and errors and support teams to improve the accuracy, completeness and reliability of programme data.
4.Analyse programme and health data to identify trends, performance gaps and emerging findings and translate analysis into useful information for programme teams and decision-makers.
5.Support the development of programme reports, dashboards, presentations and other MEL outputs that communicate progress, results, challenges and lessons learned.
6.Support the use and improvement of digital data collection and monitoring systems, including tools such as SurveyCTO and other relevant platforms.
7.Work with programme teams to strengthen data management processes, documentation and reporting workflows and promote consistent use of MEL tools and standards.
8.Contribute to evaluations, assessments, surveys and learning activities and help document findings and lessons that can inform programme adaptation and improvement.
9.Support the monitoring of programme indicators and results and help identify areas requiring corrective action or additional technical support.
10.Contribute to organisational learning by synthesising evidence, documenting good practices and supporting the use of data and findings in programme decision-making.
11.Collaborate with programme and technical teams to strengthen MEL capacity and promote a culture of evidence-based implementation.
12.Undertake other MEL and programme analytics responsibilities required to support effective implementation of Notify Health programmes.
REQUIREMENTS:
1.A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in monitoring and evaluation, public health, statistics, social sciences, data science, development studies or a related field.
2.At least 3 years of hands-on experience in monitoring and evaluation, programme analytics, data management or another closely related field.
3.Strong experience with programme monitoring, data collection, data quality assurance and reporting.
4.Demonstrated ability to analyse programme data and translate findings into practical recommendations for programme improvement.
5.Experience working with digital data collection and management platforms; experience with SurveyCTO is an advantage.
6.Strong understanding of monitoring, evaluation and learning principles and the use of indicators and results frameworks.
7.Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy and detail.
8.Ability to communicate technical findings clearly through written reports, presentations, dashboards or other appropriate formats.
9.Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams.
10.Experience in health, immunisation, primary healthcare or other public health programmes is an advantage.
11.Strong proficiency in relevant Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
12.Willingness and ability to work remotely and travel to programme implementation sites when required.
