Position Description & Requirements

JOB OVERVIEW

WEWE is recruiting a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for the HORTISUN agricultural development project in Abuja/Kaduna. The specialist will design and operate the project M&E system and ensure that accurate performance evidence supports management decisions, donor reporting and learning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop the M&E framework, results indicators, data-collection tools and reporting templates.
  • Coordinate routine data collection, validation, storage and quality assurance.
  • Track activities, outputs, outcomes and performance against approved targets.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports.
  • Design and coordinate baseline, midline and endline surveys.
  • Analyse quantitative and qualitative data and present findings through dashboards and reports.
  • Train project staff, partners and MSMEs on M&E tools, data quality and reporting.
  • Document lessons, Most Impactful Practices and success stories.
  • Provide evidence for supervision missions, management reviews and donor reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Statistics, Economics, Agricultural Economics, Development Studies or a related field.
  • At least five years of M&E experience in donor-funded agriculture or development projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to design M&E systems and conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Proficiency in data-analysis, visualisation and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, report-writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience with AfDB, FAPA or another multilateral donor is an advantage.

KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Operational M&E framework and data-management system.
  • Baseline, midline and endline reports.
  • Periodic performance reports and dashboards.
  • Lessons, success stories and M&E capacity-building materials.
