JOB SUMMARY
The Monitoring and Evaluation Associate will support the STOP-AMDR project, which links operational research and implementation learning with efforts to protect the effectiveness of antimalarial treatments. Working with the Data Analyst and M&E Lead, the role will strengthen service-delivery data quality, analysis, reporting and use in Enugu and Ilorin.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct onsite verification of entries in health-facility service-delivery registers.
- Help facilities and LGAs correct identified data errors using a systematic change-log process.
- Support monthly data validation across all relevant data-quality dimensions.
- Administer and supervise structured questionnaires and research data collection.
- Support integrated data-management systems at state and LGA levels.
- Help health providers review register data, identify gaps and develop practical solutions.
- Support research and assessments that inform project learning.
- Monitor weekly data uploads and the timely harmonisation of monthly information.
- Use tools such as Excel, ODK, KoboToolbox, KoboCollect and REDCap where required.
- Escalate critical issues requiring management attention.
- Support administrative work, stakeholder coordination and progress meetings.
- Document best practices, lessons learned, success stories and activity reports.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Social Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Health Informatics or a related field.
- Four to five years of monitoring and evaluation or data-management experience, preferably in a quality-improvement or related project.
- Experience conducting data analysis and producing high-quality reports.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to implement research data collection using Excel, REDCap, KoboCollect or similar platforms.
- Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate work.
- Familiarity with donor or national reporting requirements and standards.
- Willingness to travel to project sites.
- Knowledge of local languages and contexts is an advantage.
