MEAL Officer – C-HID

ABOUT THE ROLE

The MEAL Officer will support monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning across C-HID programmes, ensuring that reliable evidence informs programme quality and decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and use monitoring plans, indicators, data-collection tools and reporting templates.
• Coordinate routine quantitative and qualitative data collection and verification.
• Conduct data-quality checks, analyse findings and prepare timely reports and dashboards.
• Support baseline, assessment, post-distribution monitoring and learning activities.
• Maintain organised programme databases and protect confidential beneficiary information.
• Work with programme teams to track progress, identify gaps and follow up corrective actions.
• Strengthen accountability to affected populations and document lessons learned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Health or a related field.
• Relevant experience in MEAL, data management or humanitarian programme monitoring.
• Knowledge of digital data-collection tools and Microsoft Excel is desirable.
• Strong analytical, report-writing, organisation and communication skills.
• Ability to travel to field locations and work with communities respectfully.
