JOB DESCRIPTION SNIPPET:

New Foundation for Displaced Persons is recruiting an M&E Officer to track programme performance, manage monitoring and evaluation systems, strengthen data quality and generate evidence for programme decision-making.

ABOUT NFDP:

New Foundation for Displaced Persons (NFDP) is a Nigerian non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting individuals and communities affected by displacement and crisis.

JOB SUMMARY:

The M&E Officer will track project performance, develop and manage M&E frameworks and data collection systems, analyse quantitative and qualitative information, prepare reports and strengthen accountability and learning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Develop and manage monitoring and evaluation frameworks, tools and data collection systems for NFDP programmes.
2.Track project implementation against established plans, indicators, outputs and outcomes.
3.Collect, analyse and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to generate evidence for programme decision-making.
4.Ensure data quality, accuracy and completeness through regular verification and quality assurance processes.
5.Prepare regular monitoring, evaluation and donor reports highlighting achievements, challenges and recommendations.
6.Work with project teams and partners to strengthen monitoring, accountability and learning systems.
7.Facilitate capacity building, coaching and mentoring for programme staff and partners on M&E methodologies.
8.Integrate community feedback and response mechanisms to strengthen accountability and participation.
9.Support evaluations, assessments, research and learning activities.
10.Ensure compliance with safeguarding, protection and ethical standards during data collection and programme monitoring.

REQUIREMENTS:

1.Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation or a related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.
2.Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning within humanitarian or development contexts.
3.Experience in emergency response and community participation systems.
4.Strong monitoring and evaluation skills, including planning and participating in evaluations.
5.Experience managing teams or projects is an advantage.
6.Ability to work in both advisory and hands-on implementation capacities.
7.Strong data analysis, reporting and communication skills.
8.Ability to work in demanding and sometimes insecure operational environments.
