ABOUT SYDANI GROUP
Sydani Group is an international development consultancy that designs, implements, monitors and evaluates high-impact programmes addressing complex health and social-development challenges.
ROLE SUMMARY
The State Coordinator will serve as Sydani's primary representative in Katsina State and provide leadership, coordination and technical oversight for the BRIDGE Project across 12 implementing LGAs. The coordinator will work with government institutions, implementing civil-society organisations, health workers and other partners to deliver high-quality project outputs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide state-level leadership and day-to-day oversight across the 12 implementing LGAs.
- Develop, review and execute state implementation plans and monitor delivery against approved milestones and indicators.
- Supervise implementing CSOs, project personnel and field teams and provide technical guidance.
- Coordinate supportive-supervision and quality-assurance visits.
- Lead engagement with the Katsina State Primary Health Care Development Agency, LGA health authorities and development partners.
- Represent Sydani at routine-immunisation technical working groups, performance reviews and partner forums.
- Oversee data-quality activities, including validation, facility-community reconciliation, triangulation and Data Quality Self-Assessments.
- Facilitate state and LGA review meetings, analyse performance and track corrective actions.
- Prepare monthly implementation reports and review weekly, monthly and quarterly reports submitted by partners.
- Support evidence-based advocacy, government ownership, domestic financing and project sustainability.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum master's degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field.
- A PhD and relevant professional certification are added advantages.
- Minimum three years of experience in community programmes, public health, routine immunisation, maternal and child health or development projects in Katsina State.
- Demonstrated experience in community engagement, social mobilisation and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong knowledge of routine immunisation, zero-dose identification, caregiver sensitisation and defaulter tracking within Katsina's primary-healthcare system.
- Ability to work with traditional and religious leaders, community structures, health workers and government stakeholders.
- Fluency in Hausa and proficiency in English are mandatory.
- Intermediate computer skills and willingness to travel frequently.
CONTRACT DETAILS
Short-term consultancy for four months, based in Katsina State.
