ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND
The Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria is an industry association supporting the growth and development of Nigeria’s renewable-energy sector through engagement with public and private stakeholders, advocacy, policy development and investment support.
ROLE PURPOSE
The Investment Support Officer will strengthen REAN’s investment portfolio by identifying opportunities and providing analytical, financial and administrative support. The officer will contribute to due diligence, investment monitoring, budgeting and decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
INVESTMENT ANALYSIS AND SUPPORT
- Scout and identify potential investment opportunities, sectors, value chains and geographic areas aligned with strategic priorities.
- Prepare investment reports, proposals and presentations for management.
- Support due-diligence processes for prospective investments.
- Monitor the performance of existing investments and provide regular updates.
FINANCIAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning concerning investments.
- Maintain accurate investment records and supporting documentation.
- Liaise with external partners, stakeholders and financial institutions.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
STRATEGIC CONTRIBUTION
- Provide analysis and insights supporting investment decisions.
- Identify material risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Contribute to development of investment strategies aligned with REAN’s goals.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
- A relevant professional certification is an advantage.
- Three to four years of experience in investment analysis, finance or a related role.
- Experience preparing investment reports and supporting due diligence.
- Experience maintaining financial or investment records.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial-analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and report-writing ability.
- Ability to interpret financial information and market trends.
- Ability to provide clear decision-support insights.

- Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
