Job Overview

Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) is recruiting a Policy Support Intern in Abuja to support policy research, evidence synthesis, stakeholder engagement and activities that help translate research evidence into policy and practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support policy research and evidence-synthesis activities.
  • Conduct desk research on relevant policy and development issues.
  • Assist with preparation of policy briefs, presentations and research materials.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and coordination.
  • Assist with organizing policy dialogues, meetings and events.
  • Prepare meeting notes, summaries and action points.
  • Support communication of research findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with tracking policy-related activities and deliverables.
  • Contribute to background research and preparation of briefing materials.
  • Provide general programme and policy-support assistance to the team.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Academic background in public policy, political science, economics, development studies, public health, gender studies, international development, social sciences or a related discipline.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to synthesize information clearly and accurately.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
