ABOUT PREMIÈRE URGENCE INTERNATIONALE (PUI)

Première Urgence Internationale is an international humanitarian organisation providing emergency assistance to vulnerable populations affected by conflict, displacement, disasters and other crises.

JOB SUMMARY

The Information Technology Officer will support PUI Nigeria’s IT and communication systems and assist the Logistics Coordinator and Deputy Logistics Coordinator in ensuring that mission IT needs are managed in line with organisational procedures.

💰 Salary: ₦731,000 per month

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical support for computers, networks, communication equipment and other IT systems.
  • Support procurement by providing technical specifications for IT hardware, software and related equipment.
  • Configure and deploy new IT equipment for staff.
  • Maintain and regularly update the IT asset register.
  • Track IT equipment from acquisition through use, maintenance and eventual replacement or disposal.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot IT equipment.
  • Manage software licences, warranties and service agreements.
  • Support security measures including access control, password management and protection of IT assets.
  • Train staff on the proper use, care and security of IT equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of the mission’s IT and communication equipment.
  • Prepare monthly IT reports for the Deputy Logistics Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Two to four years of relevant professional experience.
  • Good knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking and IT troubleshooting.
  • Strong organisation, documentation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide technical support to staff and maintain IT records.
