Position Description & Requirements
3iS is recruiting a Humanitarian Coordinator to lead the Nigerian implementation of ANTICIPA, an initiative that combines artificial intelligence, community-sourced information and formal humanitarian data to improve risk analysis and decision-making.
The successful candidate will serve as the link between humanitarian stakeholders, affected communities and the project’s technical and software-development teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Represent ANTICIPA and maintain relationships with government, UN agencies, INGOs, national NGOs and community leaders.
- Engage institutions such as NEMA, SEMA, NiMet, NIHSA, NASRDA and relevant federal ministries.
- Participate in humanitarian clusters, working groups and coordination forums.
- Maintain stakeholder maps and coordination matrices.
- Conduct consultations, workshops, focus-group discussions and key-informant interviews.
- Translate community and humanitarian needs into clear technical requirements and user stories.
- Maintain continuous feedback between field users and software developers.
- Support community engagement, training and partner capacity-building.
- Contribute to proposals, information products and strategic project implementation.
Requirements:
- University degree in International Relations, Humanitarian Affairs, Economics, Data Science, Information Management or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of humanitarian-sector experience, including substantial Nigerian experience.
- Experience working with UN agencies and international and national NGOs.
- Community-engagement, data-analysis and information-management experience.
- Practical understanding of LLMs, cloud computing and database management.
- Hausa fluency is compulsory.
- Professional English proficiency is required.
Contract details:
- National employee contract.
- Contract runs until 31 December 2026.
- Monthly remuneration: ₦2,600,000–₦3,200,000, depending on experience.
- Expected start date: As soon as possible.
