Position Description & Requirements

ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND

SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL is an international humanitarian organization assisting people affected by conflict and disasters through emergency and recovery programmes.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Human Resource Coordinator will provide maternity-cover leadership for the Nigeria mission’s human-resources function. The position is open to Nigerian nationals and will ensure consistent implementation of human-resources policies, systems and workforce support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and implement the mission’s human-resources priorities in coordination with senior management.
  • Ensure consistent application of organizational HR policies, procedures and Nigerian labour requirements.
  • Oversee recruitment, contracting, onboarding, personnel administration and separation processes.
  • Coordinate payroll inputs, staff benefits and related HR documentation.
  • Maintain accurate personnel files, HR databases and workforce reporting.
  • Advise managers on performance management, disciplinary issues and staff development.
  • Identify capacity-development needs and coordinate relevant learning activities.
  • Supervise and support members of the HR team.
  • Monitor HR risks and propose practical corrective actions.
  • Contribute to workforce planning, budgeting and organizational reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or another related discipline.
  • Approximately three to four years of relevant professional experience.
  • Approximately three to four years of progressive experience within an international NGO is expected.
  • Strong knowledge of human-resources administration and management.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Eligibility: Nigerian nationals only.
