IITA is recruiting a Heavy Equipment Supervisor to coordinate equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, safety inspections, repairs and equipment records at its Ibadan headquarters.
POSITION DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS
The Heavy Equipment Supervisor will support reliable equipment availability by coordinating preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting and repair of heavy machinery, trucks and related equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Coordinate maintenance activities and work assignments for heavy equipment and trucks.
2.Schedule preventive maintenance and safety inspections to minimize equipment downtime.
3.Diagnose mechanical defects and coordinate repairs of heavy and earth-moving equipment, trucks and other machinery.
4.Conduct equipment checks and ensure machinery is safe and operational before use.
5.Maintain records of equipment and spare parts and supervise technical staff within the section.
REQUIREMENTS:
1.HND/BSc in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
2.Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience in heavy-equipment operations, maintenance or supervision.
3.Experience repairing or overhauling earth-moving equipment, duty trucks, generators and tractors.
4.Good teamwork, leadership, troubleshooting and communication skills.
5.Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain equipment availability.
