ABOUT eHEALTH4EVERYONE
eHealth4everyone develops and supports digital-health and healthcare information systems designed to improve health-service delivery and use of health data.
JOB SUMMARY
The Health Informatician will evaluate healthcare information, support development and maintenance of health-information systems and strengthen the use of electronic medical records and digital-health solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gather, organise and evaluate electronic healthcare information.
- Analyse health data and identify opportunities for service improvement.
- Design, develop and support healthcare information systems.
- Support development and maintenance of electronic medical records.
- Facilitate effective use of EMR and other digital-health platforms.
- Review information workflows and identify efficiency improvements.
- Support health-data standardisation, quality and integration.
- Work with clinical, technical and programme personnel to improve digital systems.
- Support development and implementation of healthcare information-management policies.
- Provide technical guidance on health-information-system design.
- Support database management.
- Translate health-service needs into appropriate information-system requirements.
- Provide user support and contribute to training where needed.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented health-information solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, Health Informatics or another eHealth-related discipline.
- Master’s degree in Health Informatics is preferred.
- Minimum one year of relevant Health Informatics experience.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and/or relevant EMR systems.
- Strong understanding of health-information-system design and database management.
- Knowledge of best practices in healthcare information management.
- Strong analytical, organisational and time-management ability.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
WORK ARRANGEMENT
Fully onsite in Abuja.
