JOB SUMMARY

Première Urgence Internationale (PUI) seeks a Guard to protect its Maiduguri Area Office, personnel, visitors, premises and property. The official application form is currently open; no fixed closing date was stated.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Control access to the compound and screen persons, bags, vehicles and materials entering or leaving.
• Enforce restrictions on weapons and prohibited items and immediately report suspicious activity.
• Register visitors, issue and recover visitor tags, direct or escort visitors as required, and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Guard buildings, equipment and other assets; patrol the premises and perimeter at the required intervals.
• Monitor gates, doors, windows, security lighting and parked vehicles and prevent unauthorised access or removal of property.
• Record all authorised movement of materials and equipment in the movement book.
• Use and safeguard assigned radio, torch and other security equipment.
• Support the safe operation or monitoring of generators, water pumps and fire extinguishers when assigned and trained.
• Conduct complete shift handovers, including keys, equipment, incidents and outstanding concerns.
• Assist with authorised loading and unloading when required without compromising security duties.
• Report incidents, threats, damage, loss or unusual events immediately and follow the security communication tree.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC).
• At least one year of relevant guarding or security experience.
• Vigilance, integrity, punctuality, clear communication and ability to follow security procedures.
• Willingness to work assigned shifts and cooperate with colleagues and visitors respectfully.

COMPENSATION

The official application form states a net monthly salary of ₦267,949.
